Manhole Covers

The City of Columbia is seeking bids for the provision of heavy-duty cast iron manhole frames and solid lids. The contract period will be for one year, with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods. The bidder must provide a firm, fixed price for the line item in accordance with the provisions and requirements stated in the RFP. The contract will be awarded to the lowest and best, overall responsive and responsible bidder. • The manhole frames and lids must meet specific technical specifications, including being constructed of heavy-duty cast iron, having a 49-inch diameter, 10-inch rise, and 36-inch clear opening, and weighing no more than 295 pounds. • The bidder must provide documentation of their experience and qualifications, including information about their organization, licenses, and certifications. • The bidder must also provide information about their business compliance, including registration of their business name, certificate of authority to transact business, and taxes. • The contract will be subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the RFP, including the City's right to reject any or all bids, and the bidder's agreement to provide the manhole covers as described in the RFP.
