Description
The City of Duluth is seeking a qualified contractor to provide all necessary labor, material, and equipment to perform concrete driveway removal, grading and subgrade preparation, unsuitable soil remediation as needed, graded aggregate base course installation, concrete driveway and curb & gutter installation, as well as asphalt mill and inlay on various roads throughout the city. The project includes multiple locations, including Folkstone Drive, Fernsberry Court, Oakwood Way, Mill Run Court, Mill Falls Drive, Kingsbrooke Court, River Summit Court, and River Mill Drive. The contractor must work with the city and the homeowners' association to coordinate the staging of the concrete construction and residents' parking. The contractor must also ensure that existing manholes and utility valves are protected during construction and remain flush with the finished concrete surface.
• The project requires the removal and replacement of concrete driveways, grading and subgrade preparation, and the installation of graded aggregate base course, concrete driveways, and curb & gutter.
• The project also includes asphalt milling, deep patching, and resurfacing on various roads.
• The contractor must provide a warranty for the work completed, with a minimum duration of 18 months.
• The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award as deemed in its best interest.
• The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
