The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to demolish the existing scale house and truck scale, construct a new scale house building, install two new truck scales, and complete extensive site‑wide civil works, paving, utility installation, and landscaping at the municipal solid waste landfill site. The contract is awarded on a firm unit‑price basis and requires performance and payment bonds equal to the contract price, as well as compliance with environmental, safety, and warranty requirements. • Demolition of existing scale house, truck scale, and associated reinforced‑concrete culverts; site clearing and stockpiling. • New scale house construction including structural steel, concrete foundations, HVAC, electrical, plumbing (septic tank, water & sewer lines), and interior finishes. • Installation of two truck scales with foundations, approach slabs, and utility connections, plus extensive earthwork, grading, paving (asphalt and concrete), curbs, sidewalks, fencing, lighting, signage, and landscaping. • Required bonds, insurance, process‑agent filing (for out‑of‑state firms), and adherence to storm‑water pollution prevention, IECC‑2009 energy code, and local building codes.
