Description
The Alabama Department of Environmental Management seeks a qualified electrical contractor to replace an existing breaker box, install a weather‑proof quad outlet, and run underground conduit between the panel and the new outlet at the Fairhope Air Monitoring Site. The work must comply with the National Electrical Code and local Alabama codes, involve trenching for up to 25 ft of conduit, and include installation of two new 20 A circuit breakers—one feeding existing building wiring and the other dedicated to the new quad receptacle.
• Replace existing breaker box with a unit that accommodates a main breaker plus two 20 A breakers.
• Install a GFCI‑protected, 20 A, heavy‑duty quad outlet in a NEMA 3R enclosure at knee height, on a dedicated circuit.
• Trench and bury conduit (< 25 ft) and pull 12 AWG (or appropriate gauge) wire from the panel to the outlet, meeting NEC standards.
• Work must be performed on a secured site (two locked gates) with access codes provided after award.
