Description
The U.S. Department of State’s INL is conducting a market‑research “sources‑sought” to assess contractor capability for a design‑build renovation of the COE complex in Lepaterique, Honduras. The effort includes (1) complete rehabilitation of an existing gym (concrete slab, flooring, structural supports, roofing, electrical, doors), (2) construction of new self‑supporting Aluzinc dome roofs and associated structural components for the mess hall and kitchen/storage areas, and (3) furnishing a fully equipped kitchen capable of feeding 75 personnel, with all equipment sourced locally for sustain‑ability. The contractor must provide design, engineering, construction, import logistics, and training documentation, and must be licensed to perform architectural, engineering, and construction work in Honduras. The period of performance is 240 calendar days after a notice to proceed, and responses are due by 09 Oct 2026.
• Scope: design‑build of gym renovation, new dome‑type metal roofs, structural walls, and a complete kitchen installation (equipment, plumbing, fire protection, ventilation).
• Required capabilities: recent (last 5 yr) experience on similar non‑residential construction in Honduras or comparable environments, Honduran licensing, ability to import materials, and coordination with host‑nation authorities.
• Deliverables: completed facilities, warranty documents, O&M manuals, and training for Honduran DNFE staff.
• Estimated size: ~425 m² mess hall, ~85 m² kitchen, ~210 m² warehouse, plus structural supports and utilities.
