Chester Depot Street Sewer Main, Contract 3

The project involves the construction of a gravity sewer main, including railroad crossings via jack and bore, and pavement restoration. The project is funded in part through the Vermont Drinking and/or Clean Water State Revolving Fund. A pre-bid conference will be held on January 7, 2026, at the Town Hall, Selectboard Meeting Room, 556 Elm Street, Chester, VT 05143. The conference is highly encouraged but not mandatory. The bid security, disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) requirements, performance bond, and payment bond are specified in the Instructions to Bidders. • The project requires compliance with the American Iron and Steel (AIS) provisions of P.L. 113-76, Consolidated Appropriations Act. • The project requires compliance with the Federal Wage Rates as determined under the Davis-Bacon Act. • The project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (“IIJA”).
