Description

The Fort Knox Qualified Recycle Program (QRP) is inviting bids for the non‑exclusive sale of used wooden pallets. Pallets are sized 48×40 (grades #1, #2, and wingtip/reversible) and will be sold “as‑is.” The QRP will provide a forklift and operator for loading onto a 48‑ or 53‑foot van trailer or flatbed; the bidder is responsible for securing the load and all transportation costs. Bids must be submitted by email no later than September 3, 2026 (2 PM EST). The agreement period runs one year from September 4, 2026 to September 3, 2027, with payment invoiced within five days of pick‑up and due within fifteen days. • Quantity: Approx. 480–520 pallets per load, multiple loads possible. • Pricing: Bidder supplies unit price per pallet (price fields left blank in solicitation). • Delivery: QRP provides forklift; bidder arranges trailer and handles loading by 2:30 PM EST on weekdays. • Inspection: Site visits can be arranged by calling (502) 624‑5026; no fixed visit date. • Payment: Invoice 5 days post‑pick‑up; payment due 15 days via check, money order, etc. • Compliance: Must have active SAM account, DUNS, CAGE; adhere to all federal, state, local regulations.

Budget estimate

$2,500 – $10,000

The solicitation does not list a unit price; typical market rates for used 48×40 pallets range from $5 to $15 each depending on condition. Assuming a single load of ~500 pallets, the total contract value could be roughly $2,500 (500 × $5) on the low end to $7,500 (500 × $15) on the high end. If the bidder secures multiple loads over the one‑year period, the cumulative revenue could scale proportionally, potentially reaching $10,000–$20,000 for three to four loads. Factors influencing the final amount include the bidder’s negotiated price per pallet, the number of loads accepted, and any additional fees for transportation or handling.
