Description
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (Division 8) is seeking a qualified contractor to perform design‑build work at the intersection of US 74 and NC 144 in Scotland County. The scope includes earthwork grading, pavement placement, drainage improvements, concrete median islands, traffic signal supply and installation, and complete pavement markings. Work must commence June 1, 2026 and be finished by June 30, 2027. Bids are to be submitted electronically with the opening scheduled for April 14, 2026.
• Grading and sub‑grade preparation for the roadway corridor.
• Asphalt paving, concrete island construction, and installation of a new traffic signal system.
• Drainage structure installation/repair (culverts, ditches) and final pavement striping/markings.
• All work confined to the US 74/NC 144 intersection within Scotland County, NC.
• Electronic bid submission required; award to the lowest responsible bidder.
