PROJECT MANAGEMENT ZONING REVISIONS CONSULTANT (PRO HOUSING – ZONING)

The City of Detroit is seeking a Project Management Zoning Revisions Consultant to provide project management services for the update of the City's zoning ordinance. The consultant will work with City departments and a zoning consultant to achieve the desired outcome of a final ordinance update. The scope of work includes project plan/schedule set-up, internal city meeting facilitation, zoning consultant scope of work recommendations, city/zoning consultant meeting facilitation, and zoning consultant contract monitoring. The contract term will be for 24 months. • Key responsibilities include developing a structured work plan, creating a method of visually representing key milestones, and facilitating meetings between City departments and the zoning consultant. • The consultant will also be responsible for reviewing and marking up the scope of work for the zoning consultant and tracking deliverable status, timelines, invoice status, and budget status. • The City is looking for a consultant with at least 5 years of experience providing similar services and a minimum of 3 projects with public/municipal clients. • The consultant must have project management certification and experience working on comparable projects.
