Garage Demolitions

The City of Grand Rapids is seeking bids for a one-year term contract with two, one-year renewal options to provide services for garage demolitions on an "as needed" basis. The contractor will be responsible for demolishing and removing garages deemed to be dilapidated or fire damaged, as well as removing all garage building material, including sill plates, from the property within 15 days of receipt of the work order. The contractor must own or have access to the necessary equipment needed to demolish a garage of significant size. • The contract will be for a one-year term with two, one-year renewal options. • The contractor will be required to demolish and remove garages deemed to be dilapidated or fire damaged. • The contractor must remove all garage building material, including sill plates, from the property within 15 days of receipt of the work order. • The contractor must own or have access to the necessary equipment needed to demolish a garage of significant size. • The City anticipates there will be approximately five to six garages annually. • Payment will be made upon the completion and Project Manager's approval of each work order.
