Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to negotiate and award a sole-source contract to Bird-Johnson Propeller Company (BJPCo) for engineering services in support of the Product Improvement Program (PIP). The PIP is an engineering support program that provides engineering man-hours and services as required to maintain and improve the operational readiness, safety, reliability, maintainability, as well as operating and support costs for BJPCo products. The Contractor shall provide the necessary supplies, services, materials, and facilities to conduct the Bird-Johnson PIP program and to perform the engineering support and required testing defined in each task.
• The program aims to resolve service-revealed deficiencies, reduce maintenance costs, improve propulsion equipment reliability/maintainability, and improve system efficiency and performance.
• The contract is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
• Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting a capability statement in response to this requirement.
