S--Notice of Intent LEWI Waste and Recycling

The National Park Service has a requirement for weekly solid waste and recycling services at Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. The contract will be for a base year plus possibly up to four option years, for a total contract period not to exceed five years. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, transportation, materials, supplies, and equipment to perform all operations of the solid waste collection and disposal function. The estimated value of this acquisition is $9,185.76 for the base year and $49,752.84 for the total with four option years. • The contractor will be responsible for collecting, storing, treating, processing, and disposing of garbage, refuse, and other discarded solid wastes. • The contractor will also be responsible for collecting cardboard, paper, and mixed recycling. • The contractor must comply with local and state statutes regarding the collection and transportation of solid waste. • The contractor must have a franchise agreement with Clatsop County to operate in the western portion of the county. • The contractor must provide all necessary equipment and supplies to perform the services.
