Description

The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) is announcing the availability of funding through the FY27 inaugural grants round of the Environmental and Climate One Stop (ECO One Stop). The ECO One Stop provides eligible applicants with a simplified, single point of entry for various climate and environmental resilience grants offered through multiple EEA departments, divisions, and offices. Key aspects of the grant opportunity include: • Eligible applicants: Municipalities, districts, public boards or commissions, tribal governments, regional governments or planning agencies, certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, and public or private schools or universities. • Eligible project types and phases: The ECO One Stop supports a variety of projects focused on climate resilience, environmental protection, and restoration in Massachusetts, including culvert or small bridge upgrade, replacement or removal, dam removal, energy resilience, land acquisition, and more. • Funding availability: EEA makes no guarantee that any awards will result from this RFR or that any particular funding level will be achieved. • Match requirement: With the exception of Tribal Government and designated rural and small town applicants, all grants participating in the ECO One Stop require a 10% match of the grant amount. The ECO One Stop is an action created under the ResilientMass Plan aiming to increase access to climate resilience and environmental protection funding across the Commonwealth. Some of the key participating grant programs include: • CZM Coastal Habitat & Water Quality (CHWQ) Grants • CZM Coastal Resilience Grant • DER Culvert Replacement Municipal Assistance (CRMA) Grant Program and Training Site Initiatives • EEA Dam and Seawall Repair or Removal Program • EEA Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Action Grant • EEA Cooling Corridors Grant Program • EEA Planning Assistance Grants

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $500,000

The budget for this grant opportunity is uncertain, as the funding availability and award amounts are not guaranteed. However, based on the information provided, it appears that the grants may range from $50,000 to several hundred thousand dollars, depending on the specific project and grant program. The total funding available for the FY27 grants round is not specified, but it is likely to be in the millions of dollars. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the type and scope of the project, the experience and qualifications of the applicant, and the availability of funding. The 10% match requirement may also impact the budget, as applicants will need to provide a portion of the funding themselves. Overall, the budget for this grant opportunity is likely to be in the range of $50,000 to $500,000, although this is highly speculative and may vary widely depending on the specific circumstances.
