Class B Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) Removal and Disposal

The City of Santa Monica Fire Department is seeking bids for a 5-year firm-fixed contract to provide removal, cleaning, and disposal of Class B Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) from City Fire Apparatus and Fire Station foam storage barrels and containers. The scope of work includes removal and isolation of AFFF, system flush and cleaning, spill prevention and containment, and stored AFFF container disposal. The vendor must provide complete removal, cleaning, and disposal of all Class B Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) from designated fire apparatus and ensure proper disposal in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. • The vendor must have a minimum of three years of recent experience performing clean-out and treatment of AFFF in fire apparatus. • The vendor must have three years of recent work providing AFFF clean-out and treatment for California professional fire departments and FAA-indexed airport fire resources. • The vendor must provide a list of current fire department and airport clients as part of the bid. • The vendor must be certified to remove Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) from fire apparatus, which includes all PFAS and forever chemical products.
