Eastern Avenue Widening and Signal Modification Project

The City of Davenport is accepting bids from qualified contractors for the Eastern Avenue Widening and Signal Modification Project. This project involves widening the roadway south of the Eastern Avenue and 29th Street intersection to create a dedicated left-turn lane and a separate northbound through lane. The project also includes upgrading traffic signals, installing new signals, wiring, video detection equipment, controller equipment, handholes, and related infrastructure. The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the project, including concrete pavement widening, sidewalks, curb ramps, driveway approach aprons, topsoil and sod restoration, pavement markings, and erosion control measures. • The project is located in Davenport, Iowa. • The project duration is approximately 80 days. • The contractor will be required to provide a 72-hour notice to the Engineer prior to the removal of any street name signs or traffic control signs. • The contractor will be responsible for making measurements and laying out the permanent installation of signs. • The contractor will be required to provide a Public Information and Notification Program if work is performed outside of normal working hours.
