Ref. 1177 - APD Parts Obsolescence

The Navy’s Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCCD) is seeking industry input on a requirement to design, prototype, and test replacement parts for the IM‑272A/WDQ Air Particle Detector (APD). The effort focuses on five obsolete components (Power Supply Motor Controller, AC/DC Converter, Display Assembly, Paperfeed Assembly, Flowmeter Assembly, and Door Hinge). The government will procure two prototypes of each part and conduct performance testing to verify compatibility with existing APD units. Interested vendors are asked to submit technical information, capability statements, and responses to a market‑research questionnaire. • Design and fabricate two prototypes for each of the six identified APD components. • Conduct functional and performance testing to demonstrate compatibility with existing APD systems. • Provide technical data, cost estimates, and schedule for prototype production and testing.
