AHSC Round 10 NOFA

The California Department of Housing and Community Development is announcing the release of the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Program Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) with approximately $650 million in funds. The program aims to facilitate greenhouse gas reduction by supporting compact, infill development patterns, encouraging active transportation and transit usage, and protecting agricultural land from sprawl development. Eligible projects must fall into one of three project area types: Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Project Areas, Integrated Connectivity Project (ICP) Areas, or Rural Innovation Project Areas (RIPA). Eligible applicants include businesses, non-profits, public agencies, and tribal governments. • The AHSC program provides grants and loans to eligible applicants to benefit disadvantaged communities, low-income communities, and low-income households throughout California. • The program invests in projects that increase accessibility of affordable housing, employment centers, and key destinations via low-carbon transportation. • Eligible geographies include eight defined areas in California. • The application deadline is 5/4/26 16:00, and the expected award announcement is in December 2026.
