Description

The City of Pomona is soliciting informal quotes from qualified vendors to supply a suite of traffic‑signal hardware items for use throughout the city. The contract will be a five‑year agreement and may be awarded to one or multiple vendors based on lead‑time and pricing. Bids must be submitted electronically via PlanetBids and will be evaluated primarily on price, with additional consideration given to equipment quality, vendor capacity, and past performance. All items are to be delivered FOB destination, with strict lead‑time requirements (most items 1‑7 calendar days, two items up to 4 weeks). The bid is firm for 180 days after the due date, and price adjustments during the term are limited to the CPI‑U change for the Los Angeles‑Long Beach‑Anaheim area. • 21 distinct traffic‑signal components (conflict monitors, power supplies, LED modules, batteries, GPS time sources, etc.). • Required delivery lead times range from 1‑7 days to 4 weeks; vendors failing to meet lead times may be deemed non‑responsive. • Five‑year contract with CPI‑based price adjustment ceiling; 1 % “local participation” discount may be offered but award is based on lowest total price.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $800,000

No total contract value is disclosed. Assuming an average unit price of $5,000‑$15,000 per item (21 items) yields an annual spend of roughly $105,000‑$315,000. Over a five‑year term the potential revenue range for a vendor would be approximately $200,000‑$800,000, depending on unit pricing, discounts, and any additional maintenance or service provisions that may be bundled.
