Description
The Pellston Public Schools are seeking a qualified Mechanical/Structural Engineer/HVAC contractor to design, provide, and install new air conditioning to the High School Gymnasium. The project includes adding roof-top units and reinforcing the existing structure to support the new units. The contractor will be responsible for providing a complete working system, including roof curbs, ductwork, startup, and controls.
* Key aspects of the project include:
* Designing adequate roof-top units to supply conditioned air throughout the gymnasium
* Designing ductwork to achieve comfortably supplied air conditioning
* Installing structural supports to support the newly added weights on the existing roof structure
* Providing lifting for proper RTU setting
* Providing power to new units according to current Michigan Electrical Codes
* Installing and providing start-up for new AC units
* Installing supply and return air ductwork
* Installing new thermostats and control wire as required
* Coordinating control operation with the existing heating system
* Providing training to district staff on proper operation of the new system
* Repairing roofing/flashing for the installation and obtaining a warranty from the roofing manufacturer after project completion
