Description
The Housing Authority of the County of San Joaquin is seeking a general contractor to rehabilitate the Satellite Apartments, located at 530 North Stanislaus Street, Stockton, CA 95202. The project includes the rehabilitation of 30 residential units, a community room, and the exterior of the building. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed and fully paid by the expenditure deadline of March 1st, 2026, and the retention must be earned and paid by March 15th, 2026.
Key aspects of the project include:
• Demolition and site work, including the removal and replacement of exterior stairs, balcony railings, and elevated walkway elements
• Accessibility upgrades, including the provision of a new accessible concrete entry ramp and the upgrade of interior laundry facilities
• Interior unit renovations, including the replacement of kitchen and bathroom fixtures, flooring, and electrical outlets
• Community and common area renovations, including the renovation of the laundry and manager's office
• Exterior and landscape work, including the installation of new fencing and gates and the provision of upgraded landscaping and irrigation systems
• Fire and life safety upgrades, including the maintenance of existing fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems
The contractor must ensure that all work is completed in accordance with the requirements of the RFP, including the provision of a 48-hour notice to tenants before entering the dwelling units.
