Designer Selection for the Design & Renovation of Two Municipal Administration Facilities

The Town of Nantucket is seeking a qualified architectural or engineering firm to provide full‑service design and renovation for two municipal administration buildings (13,364 sf and 5,153 sf) located on the island. The contract will be a cost‑plus‑fee arrangement with a not‑to‑exceed ceiling, lasting up to three years, and will begin in November 2026. The selected designer will handle feasibility, schematic, design development, construction documents, bidding assistance, and construction administration, including phased construction to keep municipal operations uninterrupted. The firm must be licensed in Massachusetts, have experience with occupied municipal facilities, ADA/MAAB compliance, and be able to navigate island logistics.
