RFP No. 25-004: Financial Auditing Services for the City of Port Richey

The City of Port Richey is seeking a certified public accounting firm to provide financial auditing services for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025, with the option to renew for up to four additional fiscal years. The selected firm will be required to audit the City's financial statements, express an opinion on the fair presentation of the financial statements, and perform a Single Audit if federal expenditures meet the $750,000 threshold. The firm will also be required to prepare and issue a management letter with recommendations for improvements in internal control, compliance, and efficiency. • The firm must be a licensed CPA firm in the State of Florida. • The firm must demonstrate experience auditing municipalities and CRA entities. • The firm must have performed at least three similar municipal audits in the last five years. • The firm must have no record of substandard work as determined by peer reviews. • The firm must maintain independence as required by Government Auditing Standards. • The firm must provide a total not-to-exceed fixed fee for the entire project. • The firm must provide a cost breakdown for each task identified in the scope of work. • The firm must include a statement signed by an authorized person that includes the total cost of the proposal.
