Vertical Launching System Structural Assembly

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) is conducting market research to identify qualified and responsible sources that may be interested in a potential future procurement of the Outer Board Assembly, Lower A-Side part number (p/n) 6539759-9, Outboard Assembly, Lower B-Side (p/n) 6539761-9, Lower outboard Structure A-Side, (p/n) 5599357-39, and Structure Lower B-Side (p/n) 5599356-19 for Vertical Launching System (VLS). The VLS structural assembly integrates the outer boards, lower boards, plenum, uptake assemblies, and internal supports into a single, rigid, shock-qualified launcher module. • The contractor shall fabricate, procure, assemble all necessary tooling, test, and deliver VLS Outer Boards and Structures in accordance with technical drawings, and specifications identified in Section C and in accordance with the contents of this SOW. • The contractor shall maintain a configuration management program, which shall provide for the administrative and functional systems necessary for configuration identification, control, status accounting and reporting, to ensure configuration identity with the VLS Outer Boards and Structures produced by the contractor. • The contractor shall have a Failure/Defect Reporting and Corrective Action System (FACAR) established and maintained for both manufacturing and test processes. • The contractor shall comply with all applicable environmental federal, state, and local laws and regulations and Navy policies, instructions and ISO 14000 Environmental Management Systems Standards.
