Description
The State of Nebraska’s Department of Administrative Services is seeking a qualified vendor to perform removal of an existing VHF‑12 antenna and its transmission line, and to install a new auxiliary UHF‑27 antenna, transmission line, and a new main UHF‑27 antenna on the KUON‑TV transmission tower. The work includes all rigging, safety planning, line pressure testing, and final documentation, with a contract term of one year and a project completion deadline of July 31 2026.
• Phase 1: Install auxiliary UHF‑27 antenna and 1‑5/8" dielectric coax on the west side of the tower.
• Phase 2: Remove and dispose of the existing VHF‑12 antenna and 6" rigid coax (≈24,000 lb load).
• Phase 3: Install new main UHF‑27 antenna, 6" rigid coax, and associated hardware, followed by testing and NETC sign‑off.
Additional requirements include certified rigging crew, compliance with OSHA safety standards, provision of insurance (minimum $2 M CGL, $5 M umbrella, etc.), and submission of a cost‑only sheet that becomes a public record.
