Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources for municipal waste disposal services at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center in Arkansas. The contractor will be responsible for collecting, transporting, and disposing of solid waste, cardboard, scrap metal, and recyclables. The contract will have a period of performance of 5 years, with options for renewal. The contractor must provide all necessary equipment, labor, and materials to perform the services. The contract will require the contractor to provide 24-hour emergency service and to respond to emergency calls within 2 hours.
• The contractor must provide and maintain roll-off dumpsters for solid waste, cardboard, and recyclables.
• The contractor must pickup and transport waste and recyclables on a regular schedule.
• The contractor must provide documentation of weight and disposal of waste and recyclables.
• The contractor must provide a point of contact for emergency services and must respond to emergency calls within 15 minutes.
• The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and laws regarding waste disposal and recycling.
