The US Navy is soliciting a quote for the manufacture of Radar Absorbent Material (RAM) Sheet, Type CIIIC Triple Band, for use on Navy submarines. The material must meet all applicable testing and inspection requirements as specified in the provided drawings and documents. The supplier shall perform first article testing and inspection, and submit a testing/inspection report for government approval prior to commencement of production units. The contract requires the supplier to have a Government Security Clearance and to handle classified documents in accordance with the attached Contract Security Classification Specification (DD Form 254). Key requirements include: • The RAM sheet must meet all applicable testing and inspection requirements as specified in the provided drawings and documents. • The supplier shall perform first article testing and inspection, and submit a testing/inspection report for government approval prior to commencement of production units. • The contract requires the supplier to have a Government Security Clearance and to handle classified documents in accordance with the attached Contract Security Classification Specification (DD Form 254). • The material supplied under this contract/purchase order is intended for use on submarines/surface ships and therefore shall contain no metallic mercury and shall be free from mercury contamination.
