MODIFIED WC-130J RTP APN-241 WEATHER RADAR SUSTAINING ENGINEERING SUPPORT RESEARCH AND SUPPORT TASK

The U.S. Air Force is conducting market research to identify firms that can provide sustaining engineering support for the modified WC‑130J RTP APN‑241 weather radar. The effort includes engineering studies to resolve reliability, maintainability, obsolete‑part, and DMS issues; failure‑trend analysis; support for MC‑130J CR‑2M developmental testing (≤ 400 man‑hours); on‑site assistance at Eglin AFB for two engineers on three 5‑day trips; installation, troubleshooting, and verification that the radar can detect real‑time rain rates; and access to Northrop Grumman’s engineering databases.
