Description

The Central Arkansas Water (CAW) is seeking bids for the LMPS Stainless Steel Intake Strainers Project. The project involves the fabrication and supply of six stainless steel intake strainers for installation in the existing intake structure. The strainers should be 9 feet in height and include a bottom stainless steel ring designed to mount to the existing bolts. The bidder should provide all materials, labor, fabrication, welding, finishing, packaging, and delivery required to provide complete strainers ready for installation. • The vertical bars should be 1/2-inch half-round stainless steel bars running the full length of each strainer. • The half-round bars should be oriented with the flat side facing outward and the curved side facing inward toward the inside of the ring. • A 1/2-inch gap should be maintained between bars for spacing. • The bars should pass through three evenly spaced retainer rings. • All bars should be welded at each retainer ring, at the bottom ring, and at the top plate. • A lifting plate should be welded to the center of the top plate. • All stainless-steel components should be new, unused, and free from defects.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $200,000

Based on the project description, the budget for this project could be in the range of $50,000 to $200,000. This estimate is based on the fabrication and supply of six stainless steel intake strainers, which could require significant materials and labor costs. The actual budget will depend on the bids received and the final contract award. Factors that could influence the budget include the complexity of the strainer design, the cost of materials, and the labor costs associated with fabrication and installation.
