Description
The South Dakota Department of Transportation’s Pierre Region is seeking a single vendor to lease twenty (20) new cab‑type tractors (100‑150 HP PTO) for the 2027 mowing season. The lease runs from June 1 2027 through November 30 2027 (approximately six months) and is usage‑based, with hourly rates applied to tachometer readings. The vendor must supply the tractors, provide a factory‑installed strobe light, ensure a rear‑wheel spread ≤ 8 ft 6 in, deliver fuel and DEF, and handle major repairs, parts, and any replacement tractors required if a unit is out of service for five days or exceeds 250 usage hours. The State will operate the tractors, perform routine minor maintenance, and pay only for operable hours. The contract ceiling is under $100,000, and the lowest total bid (based on a 250‑hour usage scenario per tractor) will be awarded.
