2026 Resurfacing Project

The City of Big Rapids is seeking a qualified contractor to perform extensive asphalt resurfacing throughout the city, including streets, parking lots, an airport runway segment, a riverwalk trail, and a disc‑golf pavilion lot. The work involves cold milling, crush‑and‑shape, placement of hot‑mix asphalt (HMA), and associated site‑prep items such as topsoil stripping, grading, valve‑box adjustments, and structure‑cover adjustments. Bids are sealed, a 5 % bid security is required, and the contract will be firm‑price with performance and payment bonds equal to 100 % of the contract price.
