The City of Ann Arbor is seeking an “as‑needed” professional services contract to provide geotechnical and environmental field investigations throughout the city. The contractor will perform soil borings, pavement core extraction, environmental direct‑push drilling, and associated laboratory testing, then prepare a geotechnical report for each work “bundle.” No minimum volume of work is guaranteed; the City will issue individual bundles as projects arise and will request cost estimates for each bundle at no charge.
• Perform soil borings (typically 5 ft, deeper as needed) and pavement core extraction, including backfill and grout as required.
• Conduct environmental drilling (direct‑push) with proper EPA‑compliant sample handling, chain‑of‑custody, and optional groundwater monitoring well installation.
• Provide required laboratory analyses (moisture content, VEC, strength, gradation, permeability, etc.) and produce a geotechnical report per bundle.
• Supply all necessary permitting, traffic control, utility location coordination, and health & safety plans; adhere to City living‑wage and non‑discrimination ordinances.
• Submit a sealed narrative proposal (qualifications) and a separate sealed fee envelope (per‑foot and hourly rates) by the deadline; short‑list interviews will be held the week of 17 Nov 2025, with award expected in Jan 2026.
