The Navy Region Southwest Qualified Recycling Program (NRSW QRP) is issuing an invitation to bid on the sale of expended mixed small arms caliber casings (50cal. & below) located at Naval Base San Diego. The casings are being sold for scrap-metal purposes only, and the buyer must remove the material within 15 business days of the award. The buyer is responsible for all taxes applicable to the purchase and must indemnify the NRSW QRP and the U.S. Navy against any claims or liabilities arising from the purchase or use of the material. • The estimated amount of casings is 47,000 pounds. • The buyer must pay for the material prior to transfer, and payment must be made by bank draft or cashier's check. • The buyer is responsible for inspecting the material and understanding any quality or condition factors that could affect their bid. • The buyer must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to environmental and safety concerns.
