Request for Information (RFI): Optimized Machining Parameters for AerMet 100

The United States Air Force (USAF) is seeking information from industry regarding optimized machining parameters for AerMet 100, a high-strength alloy used in critical aerospace applications. The purpose of this RFI is to gather information to support the development of optimized machining parameters for AerMet 100, with an initial focus on manufacturing parts for landing gear. • The USAF is looking for information on machining parameters, tooling solutions, material analysis, and testing and validation methodologies. • Respondents are requested to provide detailed responses to the RFI, including company overview, machining parameters, tooling solutions, material analysis, testing and validation, and standardization and documentation. • The USAF is seeking information from qualified vendors with expertise in machining high-strength alloys, particularly AerMet 100. • The RFI is for source planning and market research purposes only and does not constitute an invitation to bid, a request for quotation or proposal, nor does it create any obligation for the Government to procure goods or services.
