Landfill Cell 7 Construction

The Wicomico County is seeking bids for the construction of Cell 7 at the Newland Park Landfill. The project includes excavation and grading, liners, leachate collection system, anchor trenches, leachate conveyance system, landfill gas system components, SCADA control connection, and access road construction. The goal is to have Cell 7 completed and open to the public by October 1, 2026. Key aspects of the project include: • Cell 7 consists of an approximately 7-acre landfill cell • The project requires excavation and grading, liners, leachate collection system, and other components • The project must be completed by October 1, 2026 • The county reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to award the contract to the most responsible and responsive vendor • Vendors must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and must provide a copy of their Certificate of Status from the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation.
