Description
The State of Maine is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive custodial and janitorial services for the Department of Environmental Protection’s Presque Isle facility. The work includes daily cleaning tasks, routine restroom maintenance, floor care, waste handling, and periodic specialized services such as carpet shampooing, tile stripping and refinishing, and exterior window cleaning. The contract is initially for one year with the option to extend up to four additional one‑year periods, for a total possible duration of five years. The contractor must supply all cleaning chemicals, equipment, and labor, while the State provides basic paper products and light bulbs. All work must be performed after normal business hours and must comply with EPA‑approved disinfectants and OSHA standards.
• Daily and weekly cleaning duties covering restrooms, floors, surfaces, and high‑touch points.
• Periodic specialty tasks (carpet extraction, tile strip/finish, window cleaning) scheduled with the Agreement Administrator.
• Requirement to maintain on‑site Safety Data Sheets, provide background‑check‑approved personnel lists, and carry minimum insurance coverage.
