LAWA Environmental Legal Advice

The City of Los Angeles is seeking a law firm to provide environmental and water law counsel to the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). The selected firm will assist the City Attorney's Office in providing ongoing legal advice and representation to LAWA on matters related to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and other environmental and water law issues. The scope of work includes providing advice and representation on land use, air quality, water quality, hazardous materials, and other environmental matters. The firm will also be required to provide a detailed list of proposed hourly billing rates and a statement of qualifications, including the number of attorneys and paralegals who will work on the project. • The contract is expected to begin in July/August 2026 and last up to three years. • The City reserves the right to verify the information in the response and to reject any response that contains false or misleading information. • The City also reserves the right to negotiate the terms and conditions of the contract with the selected firm. • The firm will be required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the City's Contractor Evaluation Ordinance. • The firm will also be required to provide a declaration that the proposal is genuine and not a sham or collusive bid.
