Florida Keys Electric Cooperative (FKEC) is seeking proposals to supply materials needed to reframe and replace insulators on its 138 kV radial transmission line #5 spanning approximately 11 miles from Tavernier to the Islamorada Substations. The line has suffered degradation due to harsh coastal conditions and hurricane exposure, necessitating a full insulator upgrade to restore reliability. The scope includes providing all required pole‑line hardware such as insulators, brackets, bolts, and related accessories, as well as delivering them to the project site for installation by FKEC’s crews. This is a standard‑specification procurement with no blueprints attached.
