Description
The City of New York Parks & Recreation is seeking a vendor to supply 16‑cubic‑yard compacting collection trucks (heavy‑duty refuse‑collection vehicles) on a competitive sealed‑bid basis. The trucks must be complete, “ready‑for‑service” units meeting extensive technical, safety, emissions, and warranty requirements, and must be delivered to the New York City Parks vehicle‑acquisition compound on Randall’s Island. The contract will include provision of documentation, training, and ongoing warranty support.
• Deliver fully built 16 cu yd compacting trucks (GVWR ≈ 40 000 lb) meeting NYC Parks specifications (engine, transmission, PTO, brakes, safety, paint, etc.).
• Provide all required paperwork (MV‑50, Certificate of Origin, manuals, warranty registration) and a minimum 16‑hour on‑site training program.
• Supply warranty coverage (5 yr/100 k mi for power‑train, 3 yr for hydraulic and body) and maintain a service facility within 75 mi of NYC for warranty work.
