Description

The City of Wilson is inviting bidders to submit sealed proposals for the design, production, delivery, and installation of approximately three monuments for Vick Cemetery. The monuments will serve as a permanent tangible marker to honor the memory of the deceased and provide information for future generations to come. The City is looking for qualified bidders to respond to this Invitation to Bid (ITB) and its attachments. • The monuments will be custom in many aspects with some general descriptions of size, shape, measurements, colors, engravings, etc. • The primary single tablet monument will be made of polished granite and have a minimum height of 4 ft. 8 in. with a 5 ft. x 2 ft. 2 in. foundation. • The secondary monuments will also be made of polished granite and have a minimum height of 4 ft. 8 in. with a minimum required foundation dimension for monument stability. • The installation of the monuments will be done in coordination with New South Associates, Wilson Cemetery Commission, and the City of Wilson. • The City reserves the right to reject any and all offers if determined in its best interest.

Budget estimate

$40,000 – $80,000

The budget for this project can be estimated based on the cost of materials, labor, and installation of the monuments. The cost of polished granite monuments can vary depending on the size, complexity, and quality of the monument. Assuming an average cost of $10,000 to $20,000 per monument, the total cost for three monuments would be around $30,000 to $60,000. Additionally, the cost of installation, labor, and other expenses should be considered, which could add another $10,000 to $20,000 to the total cost. Therefore, the estimated budget for this project could be in the range of $40,000 to $80,000.
