Description
The Holyoke Gas & Electric department is seeking bids for an electric line contractor to install 15KV spacer cable. The project involves installing approximately 0.9 circuit miles of 15kV 336.4 kcmil AAC three-phase spacer cable, 0.9 miles of 052 AWA messenger cable, and all associated hardware. The contractor will also be required to install and/or replace 19 utility poles. The successful bidder will be required to obtain satisfactory Payment and Performance Bonds each equal to 100% of total bid.
• The project requires the removal of 0.9 circuit miles three-phase (4,800') of 336.4 kcmil conductor, 0.9 miles of 1/0 neutral conductor, 19 poles, one (1) air break, and associated hardware.
• The project also involves installing approximately 0.3 circuit miles of 15kV 336.4 kcmil AAC three-phase (~ 1700'/phase) spacer cable, 0.3 miles of 052 AWA messenger cable, all associated hardware, and installing one (1) new pole and replacing four (4) utility poles.
• Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this project.
• All bidders are required to submit a bid deposit equal to 5% of total bid.
