The City of Salina is soliciting bids for the demolition of an existing scale house, earthwork, and construction of a new scale house facility with two truck scales, parking, curbs, utilities, and site‑stabilization at its municipal solid‑waste landfill. The work includes demolition, grading, paving, utility installation, building construction, and final landscaping, with a substantial‑completion deadline of 31 December 2026 and final completion by 3 May 2027. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder and will require performance and payment bonds equal to the contract price.
• Demolition of existing scale house and related structures, removal of old pavement, and disposal of materials.
• Earthwork, grading, and installation of new concrete pads, curbs, sidewalks, parking lot, and two 18‑in truck scales with foundations.
• Construction of a new scale‑house building (architectural, structural, MEP) and associated utilities (water, sewer, electrical, fiber conduit).
• Site improvements including storm‑water controls, erosion control, fencing, gates, signage, and final seeding/mulching for site stabilization.
• Required deliverables: preliminary schedules (within 10 days of contract effective date), performance/payments bonds, insurance, and compliance with SWPPP and local regulations.
