Runway reconstruction Project - Pierce County Airport - Thun Field

The Runway Reconstruction Project at Pierce County Airport - Thun Field involves the full-depth reconstruction and widening of Runway 17-35, as well as the removal and relocation of Connector Taxiways A4 and B1. The project also includes the construction of an asphalt mill and overlay of Connector Taxiways A1, A2, A3, and A5, and the installation of new subsurface edge drains, infiltration pipes, runway edge and threshold lights, and other related work. • The project has a cost range of $12,000,000 and is expected to be completed within 102 working days. • The project includes three schedules: Schedule A (Base Bid) for Runway 17-35 reconstruction, Schedule B (Bid Additive 1) for obstruction removal, and Schedule C (Bid Additive 2) for hangar electrical upgrades. • The project requires compliance with various federal regulations, including the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and the Buy American Preferences. • The project also requires the contractor to provide a proposal bond, performance bond, and payment bond, as well as to comply with various certifications and requirements, including those related to lobbying, trade restrictions, and recovered materials.
