427_2S LCS 1 Class Waterjet and Impeller Shaft Overhaul Contract_FY26

The Navy is issuing a sole‑source IDIQ contract to Bird Johnson Propeller Company (formerly Rolls‑Royce Marine North America) for repair and repackaging of waterjet and impeller drive‑shaft assemblies on Freedom‑class Littoral Combat Ships (LCS‑1). The contract will cover three primary asset groups: the 172AX MK1 Boost Waterjet Assembly, the 172AX MK1 Steerable Waterjet Assembly, and the Impeller Drive Shaft Assembly. Work will be performed at the contractor’s facility in Walpole, MA, with the Navy providing performance specifications via a detailed Performance Work Statement.
