Description
The Ventura Unified School District is seeking bids for the Balboa Field Renovation project. The project involves the removal of existing turf in a designated area and its replacement with hydro-seed turf and new irrigation. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on December 9, 2025, at 8:30 am. Bidders must be licensed contractors in the state of California and must possess a valid Class C27 – Landscaping Contractor license at the time of bid and throughout the duration of the contract.
• The project duration is 39 days.
• The bid close date is January 6, 2026, at 2:00 P.M.
• Bidders must submit their bids electronically via the District’s Secure Bids Vendor portal.
• A list of prequalified MEP subcontractors will be made available by the District to all bidders at least five business days prior to the bid opening date.
• The successful bidder must provide separate payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount.
