North Library Phase I Demolition

The City of Irving is initiating Phase 1 of the North Library Redevelopment Project, which includes the demolition of a vacant city-owned building. The project goal is to remove the building and its slab, ensuring no foundations or below-ground elements remain to prepare the site for future construction. The contractor will have 180 days from the day the notice to proceed is given to complete the work. The scope of work includes removal of all structures, utilities, signage, parking lot elements, landscaping, and restaurant-specific infrastructure. However, the parking lot is to remain. The contractor is also required to perform hydro seeding until there is vegetation. • The project requires compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and permitting requirements. • The contractor must use best management practices (BMPs) during the work. • The contractor must remove and properly dispose of all structures, including above-ground and below-ground elements. • The contractor must perform hydro seeding until there is vegetation.
