The City of Charlottesville is seeking an experienced architectural/engineering firm (or qualified individual) to lead the full design, planning, and construction‑administration effort for a comprehensive renovation of the historic Jefferson Madison Regional Library Central Library. The scope includes programming, schematic and design‑development, MEP modernization, structural, civil, fire‑safety, utilities, interior/graphic design, landscape, and LEED certification support, as well as construction‑document preparation and on‑site administration through project close‑out. The contract will run from award (expected early 2027) through construction completion in late 2029, with a total project value exceeding $20 million.
