Description
The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) is seeking an Architectural/Engineering (A/E) firm to lead the design and construction‑administration of the Supreme Court General Building Renovations in Columbus, Ohio. The scope includes ADA upgrades, roof replacement, extensive MEP system replacement, lighting conversion to LED, and a full Building Management System modernization. The selected firm will provide full‑service design, BIM modeling, and on‑site construction administration (minimum 8 hours per week) through the construction phase, and must meet EDGE participation requirements.
• Primary disciplines: Architecture (lead) with required MEP, structural, fire‑protection, environmental, QA, and special‑inspection consulting.
• Key tasks: ADA compliance, roof and envelope replacement, mechanical‑system overhaul, VAV and ceiling replacement, LED lighting upgrade, and BMS modernization.
• Schedule: RFQ response due 9 Nov 2026; A/E interview 8 Dec 2026; professional services start 27 Mar 2027; substantial completion of construction 29 Jan 2028.
• Financials: Total state‑funded project cost $7.09 M; A/E fee estimated 7.0‑7.25 % of construction cost (~$415‑$429 k).
• Mandatory on‑site administration: Minimum 8 on‑site hours per week throughout construction.
• EDGE program: Minimum 5 % of total A/E fee must go to EDGE‑certified businesses, with extra points for higher participation.
