Description
The U.S. Embassy in Colombo, Sri Lanka is amending its original solicitation to procure and install a single 1000 kW forced‑air‑cooled resistive load bank. The contractor must supply the load bank, remove existing units, provide all required product data, wiring diagrams, test reports, and perform installation, commissioning, and final acceptance in accordance with U.S. and local electrical codes. The award will be based on the lowest priced technically acceptable quotation, with no formal discussions unless needed. Prices must be duty‑free and VAT‑exempt; payment is within 2‑3 weeks after satisfactory completion. Vendors must have an active SAM registration for offers $30,000 or higher.
• One (1) 1000 kW load bank (air‑cooled, continuous operation, suitable for coastal environment)
• Supply, removal of existing banks, installation, wiring, control panel, and testing
• Mandatory deliverables: product data, wiring diagrams, factory test reports, sound‑level reports, maintenance manuals, spare‑parts list
• Compliance with NFPA 70 (NEC) and OBO Building Code, NEMA‑rated enclosures (4X/3R)
• Delivery and installation at American Embassy, No. 210 Galle Road, Colombo 3, Sri Lanka
• Quotation due by 10:00 a.m. local time on 21 Sep 2026; award to lowest technically acceptable offer.
