For the Love of Gilroy Public Art Banners 2025-26

The City of Gilroy is seeking designs from local artists for two-dimensional artwork with the thematic concept of “For the Love of Gilroy”. The selected designs will be used for streetlight banners in Downtown Gilroy. The City will purchase the selected designs for $500 each. The designs should promote arts, culture, and community in Gilroy and the surrounding South County region. The Arts and Culture Commission will review the submitted designs and recommend the best designs to the City Council. • The design should align with the “For the Love of Gilroy” theme • The design should inspire unity, growth, and positivity • The design should be the artist’s original work • The design should comply with the intent scope identified above • The design should meet the specified size and format requirements • The design should not contain obscene language or imagery, plagiarized work, derogatory language or imagery, discriminatory language or imagery, political imagery, religious imagery, violent imagery, business promotion, nudity or sexually-related imagery, or references to drugs or alcohol.
