Description
The City of Big Rapids is seeking a qualified CPA firm to perform a comprehensive audit of its financial statements for fiscal year ending June 30 2026 and to prepare the Annual Financial Report, with the possibility of extending the engagement for up to five additional one‑year periods. The work must comply with GAAS, GAAP, Government Auditing Standards, OMB Circular A‑133, and relevant state and federal requirements, and includes preparation of required state forms (F‑65 and 5572) and a potential Single Audit if federal funding thresholds are met. The contract is a one‑year, firm‑fixed‑price award with a submission deadline of April 10 2026 and an anticipated award on May 11 2026.
• Perform full‑service municipal audit, issue opinion on financial statements, and compile the Annual Financial Report.
